Bull Run Gives Back

Defining Community

The Bull Run has been owned and operated by our family for more than 70 years. We live in Shirley, attended Shirley public schools, participate in many town events, serve on several town boards and committees, and volunteer for local non-profits.

There are many other individual contributions we make for one-time events or fundraisers. They are too numerous to list here. But as you can see, we donate to LOCAL events, fundraisers & causes that are close to home. So if you're coming to us for a request for a large, national organization, though deserving, it is unlikely we will donate. We do our best to spread our donations around so feel free to ask again if we aren't able to support you this time.

Types of donations

We do not give cash but may donate by underwriting in limited cases. In most cases, we will donate a gift certificate to be used as a raffle prize. Our gift cards can be used for dinner or show tickets. In some limited cases, we will donate food. We may also take an advertisement in a program or directory.

We generally do not donate tickets to shows unless requested or authorized by the performer.

We donate within the local geographic area that we serve.

If you'd like to inquire about holding a fundraiser at Bull Run, we offer discounts and incentives for non-profit events that are held at Bull Run. Please contact our Sales Director for pricing and details. Click HERE for more info.

How it works

We require a paper trail for every request. We have a "Donation Request Form" to be filled out by the requesting organization. This form is not available online and we require that you stop by our Front Desk to fill it out as we like to connect with the person making the request. We also require verification of the non-profit status of your organization for our file to be attached to the request. We review inquiries weekly and require a minimum 2-week turnaround to respond. In some cases it may take longer. We cannot process payment without proper paperwork including a donation form. If we take out an advertisement in a program, we require an invoice and our terms are 30 days for processing.

Once approved, an invoice is required and should be sent via email to: Office@bullrunrestaurant.com or via mail to: Bull Run Restaurant P.O. Box 1228, 215 Great Road, Shirley, MA 01464.

Apologies but we are not able to follow up on verbal requests, requests received through Facebook

or other social media, phone messages, blind emails or ANY method other than through our Front Desk directly.

The ONLY way to get results is to come in and fill out a donation request form with complete information during our business hours from Wednesday through Saturday.

Thank you for thinking of us!
